Are we seeing the start of a NEW running shoe trend

I read with interest a recent article in Runner's World, which proclaimed 'Forefoot flex grooves seem to be a thing of the past, and shoes across the spectrum are harder to bend. Credit that to the increased thickness of the midsoles, the desire for more cushioning under the forefoot, and the light foam being used.'

OK.. well that throws up a number of interesting questions, becasue if that is indeed the case, there will be consequences, and they may not all be good! Let's take a look..
